It’s been a great year but it had to come to an end. We finished in style with the AGM and Presentations on Monday 18 June.
Sadly, Barbara Clark has decided to step down as President having been in post (on and off) for an unprecedented 9 years. She keeps going on about being able to concentrate on photography or some such thing and if I suggest she is being selfish it’s only because Barbara has been a fantastic leader and set a tone of openness and inclusion that other clubs might envy.
Nonetheless, we are privileged that the new President is Andrew Ridley, an accomplished photographer and generous contributor of time and expertise. We all wish him well.
As well as the usual stuff of the annual general meeting, it was also time to re-distribute the silverware. This might explain why hardware shops within a fairly substantial catchment had been entirely divested of duraglit! (other metal polishing agents are available)
Here are some pictures (clickable if you really want a better look) captured by Roland Bermel. Is it me or is Malcolm coming across as a bit Freddy Krueger?
