Back to prints…..

It was a delight to return to Millfield House for our first physical meeting of the season and our first print competition since February 2020. Members had dusted off their printers and re-familiarised themselves with the processes involved in producing and mounting prints to good effect. On the night, the opening rounds of both the ‘Open’ and ‘Theme’ competitions were judged. The subject of the latter was ‘Odd Angles.’ We were joined by Cat Humphries, a judge making her first visit to Edmonton.

Colour and monochrome images of differing genre were on view. There were thirty-two images in total. Cat commented on each referring to its composition, technical aspects, and presentation before awarding a mark to each.

All agreed that it was a most enjoyable evening and that it was really good to be meeting personally once again in our familiar venue.

We look forward to our next meeting a Millfield, on 17 October, which will be the occasion of the ‘Eight Way Interclub Print Battle’. Round Two of the Open and Theme print competitions take place on 31 October. The subject for the Theme Competition on that occasion is ‘Something Old.’ The closing date for entries is 17 October.
