Bronze Position at Loughton

The few members present for the 25th Loughton Anniversary Trophy Battle experienced great hospitality and terrific imagery on the night. The judge was David Steel DPAGB.

Each club had to submit three black and white prints, three colour prints and six projected images. Loughton has a maximum of ten scoring scheme.

At the end of the evening Upminster and Loughton tied for first place, with 98 points a piece. Upminster took home the trophy by dint of having a greater number of top scoring images.

Edmonton were third with 94 points. Our scores comprised 7 x 7 pts, 1 x 8 pts, 3 x 9 pts and one ten point maximum. The maximum score was for Marilyn’s colour print entitled ‘A Bleak Mid-Winter’. You may remember it as being our ‘Landscape Print of the Year’ last season.

The final placings were as follows:

1st – 98pts – Upminster CC
2nd – 98pts – Loughton CC
3rd – 94pts – Edmonton CC
4th – 88 pts – H2 PS (formerly Harlow PS but now Harlow & Much Hadham)
5th – 80 pts – Enfield CC
6th – 76 pts – Walthamstow &DPS

We return to Loughton next June when it is their turn to host the now annual ‘One from Each Member’ battle between our two clubs.
