Digital Image of the Year

8 June was the occasion of the Digital Image of the Year. Due to current restrictions the competition had to be judged ‘remotely’ ahead of the evening. That task fell to Naomi Saul ARPS DPAGB APAGB. To critically assess the images Naomi requested that files of all 61 entries be sent to her in advance. In addition to carefully viewing our images and making her selections, Naomi prepared written notes on every one of them. On the evening, the notes were read out as the images were being projected via Zoom.

Naomi selected seven images to be ‘Commended’, one to be ‘Runner Up’ and obviously, a winning image. Those images were:

‘At the Gate’ by Malcolm Rapier
‘Barbary Macaque with Her Baby’ by Sue Webster
‘Cranes and Tracks, Battersea’ by Malcolm Rapier
‘Feeding Time’ by Steve Knox
‘Intense’ by Andrew Ridley
‘Moment of Joy’ by Marion Rapier
‘Shag and Baby’ by Derek Webster

‘Snow Covered’ by Marilyn Steward
