Edmonton triumph at Loughton

This has been a busy week for Chris Palmer. He was our guest speaker on Monday and on Wednesday evening he judged the annual Loughton Anniversary Battle. It is a pleasure to announce Edmonton won the event!

In a return to some form of ‘normality’ the event was held in Loughton’s venue at Lopping Hall. Representatives and supporters from all six participating clubs were present for the live judging.

Over the years we have never been too far away from the top position in this battle. However, this is the first time that we have triumphed. The entry, from each club had to comprise three monochrome prints, three colour prints and six projected images. Each was scored out of ten.

Edmonton achieved a maximum score in each of the three sections. Those entries were:
Steve Knox – ‘Eye Contact’ in Projected Images
Andrew Ridley – ‘Fork Eyes’ in Colour Prints
Malcolm Rapier – ‘Menace’ in Monochrome Prints

Edmonton’s entries also featured work from:
Clive Bevan
Nick Clark
Dave Jackson
Marion Rapier
Marilyn Steward
Sue Webster

The final club scores were as follows:
First – Edmonton – 103 points
Second – Loughton – 100 points
Third (equal) – Upminster – 88.5 points
Third (equal) – Walthamstow – 88.5 points
Fifth – H2 (Harlow) – 87.5 points
Sixth – Enfield – 81.5 points
