On Thursday evening Edmonton emerged the winners of a close fought ‘battle’ at Enfield Camera Club. The event was the annual competition for the ‘Camera Craft Cup’. This year seven clubs were represented, and the competition was extremely close. Naomi Saul, judging on the evening, commented that the entries were of a particularly high standard and that it was a very fine balance to fairly mark them.
The event, which took place in Enfield’s usual venue, was viewed by an audience, present in the hall and those viewing at home via Zoom. At the interval those in attendance were treated to a large selection of cakes and scones, all baked by Robert Snary, a co-member of Edmonton CC.
At the end of the evening the scores were as follows:
Potters Bar 106
In a very strong field two of Edmonton’s entries secured a maximum twenty points. There were:
‘Dalmatian Pelican in Winter Sun’ by Sue Webster, and
‘Charging Hard’ by Marion Rapier
This coming Monday sees another ‘battle’ when Edmonton take on Gibraltar Photographic Society in our bi-annual competition. Gibraltar PS are a strong club, with some very proficient members, so we look forward to seeing their work. We also look forward to hearing the thoughts of the judge, Lloyd Moore, who will be visiting us for the first time. Monday’s meeting will be ‘hybrid’ with the event taking place at Millfield House and being available by Zoom.
