Eight Way Print Battle

After an absence of two years the Eight Way Print Battle returned to the competition calendar on 17 October. It was Edmonton’s turn to host the event and the judge for the evening was Tom Peck LRPS CPAGB. On this occasion only seven clubs participated as due to a clash of dates, Walthamstow elected not to compete this year.

Without print competitions at Edmonton for two and a half years it was challenging to come up with a strong entry that complied with the competition rules. At the end of the evening Muswell Hill PS emerged the winners. The scores for each club were as follows:

Muswell Hill 94
Southgate 90
Edmonton 86
Enfield 86
Barnet 84
Hertford 84
Hoddesdon 83

Edmonton was represented with work from Roland, Marion, Tony, Malcolm and Marilyn. Edmonton’s top scoring image of the night, one of four maximum scores awarded, was ‘More London Riverside’ by Roland.

Our next external competition is the annual ‘Loughton Anniversary Trophy Competition’. This will take place on 26 October at Loughton’s Lopping Hall venue (IG10 4LF).
