On the evening of 18 March nine clubs participated in the Camera Craft Cup inter-club battle. The competition was returning after missing a year owing to the pandemic. Colin Southgate was the judge and the event took place using the Zoom platform.
Some Edmonton members were present to see an excellent array of images covering many different types of genre. Walthamstow were runaway winners with a score of 114 from their six images – that included no fewer than four maximum 20’s! Edmonton’s entry also managed to score two 20’s from the seven awarded on the night. Top scoring for Edmonton were Sue Webster, with her ‘Mandrill Portrait’ and Malcolm Rapier with an image entitled ‘Menace’.
At the end of the evening the final scores were as follows:
Walthamstow DPS – 114
Loughton CC – 109
Ware DPS – 109
Edmonton CC – 108
Southgate PS – 108
Potters Bar PS – 107
Hoddesdon CC – 103
Enfield CC – 101
Muswell Hill PS – 98
All agreed at the end of the evening that it had been a night of great photography and a joy see the work of the other clubs.
We are the hosts for our next ‘battle’ takes place against Loughton CC on 7 June for the ‘One from Each Battle’. On that occasion every author, from both clubs, has an image entered.
