Loughton Anniversary Trophy

On Wednesday 7 November the Club participated in the annual ‘Anniversary Trophy Competition’ at Loughton Camera Club.  The competition is a ‘battle’ in which six clubs submit work.  The entries have to comprise digital projected images, colour prints and monochrome prints.  This year the judge, well known to Edmonton members, was Naomi Saul.

The winning club this year was Upminster CC with a total score of 217 points.  Edmonton put up a very creditable performance to see off the other clubs and finish 2nd, with 211 points.  Loughton and Harlow Camera Clubs tied for 3rd place with 205 points.

It was a very enjoyable evening and there were some very high quality images on view.  Edmonton was well represented with ten members present.  At the end of the evening a grand raffle was drawn, with the star prize being a Leica instant camera.  The Edmonton members present did not win the camera but nevertheless came away with a bevy of prizes.

The next ‘Anniversary Trophy Competition’ will be held on 6 November 2019.  Loughton CC are due to visit Edmonton on 3 June 2019 for a two-way battle in which an image from each competing member has to be used in the competition.
