Seeing the Light

On 27 November, by popular demand, Club member Robert Snary brought his equipment for another ‘Light Painting’ session at Millfield House. Robert explained how the equipment worked and demonstrated each piece before an enthusiastic group of members. It was a case of tripods and shutter release cables at the ready as Robert traversed the room. Members were able to record some fascinating images, each one being unique to them.

We captured colourful abstract patterns, wave forms, and orbs. Robert had programmed a ‘Pixel Stick’ with some of his own images. It was amazing to see these recreated on the monitor of one’s own camera from the apparently random display of flashing lights as Robert passed before us.

The enthusiasm shown at Robert’s previous session in February was undiminished. A great atmosphere was evident with all those present having a really good evening. It is no wonder that Robert has now been called upon to deliver similar sessions in several other clubs and societies.
