Three wins in external events

Last Monday the Annual General Meeting concluded proceedings for the 2023/24 season. Club President, Andrew Ridley, looked back at the year past and complimented members of the quality of work produced throughout the year. Our images have enabled the Club to enjoy a successful year in competition with other clubs and societies.

In October 2023, Edmonton clinched the annual Eight Way Print Competition at Muswell Hill, although unfortunately the number of participating clubs, on this occasion was reduced to seven.

March brought the pleasure of competing against our friends of the Gibraltar Photographic Society in our biennial challenge. Each team presented a selection of images judged across two rounds, home and away. Edmonton triumphed with a significant lead, outscoring GPS 677 to 658. This is a significant winning margin in this usually very close contest. On a previous occasion the victory margin was just one point!

Also in March, the club participated in the ‘Camera Craft Cup’ competition, perennially hosted by Enfield Camera Club. Edmonton prevailed once again, securing the title for the second time in three years. Both images associated with this post formed part of our winning Camera Craft Cup entry.
